Gardening Is an Ever Changing Landscape Painting
MEETINGS
The general meetings for the Garden Club of Millsboro are held in the morning on the second
Friday of the month for twelve months a year. Attendance is open to novice and experienced
gardeners.
Our meetings center around the horticultural interests of our members. Topics cover a wide
range of horticultural subjects, such as, landscape design, plant care, container gardening,
kitchen gardening, house plants, and insects, pests and weed control. We are dedicated to
improving the quality of life of our members and our community. We set aside many work days
to perform service projects to beautify our community.
Members have an opportunity to serve on one or more standing committees, such as, Capital
Projects, Community Service Projects, Fundraising, Member Enrichment, Membership, Publicity
and Special Projects, such as, Flag Planting Day for Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day, Big
Thursday and Fall Pumpkin Arrangements. Members of the standing committees meet on their
own schedule.
